Be a Volunteer

Do you enjoy the Maryland Seafood Festival and want to earn free admission for a few hours of work? We are looking for friendly people to help us put on a great event. Volunteers receive free parking at Anne Arundel Community College and admission to the Festival.

The Maryland Seafood Festival has partnered with Camp Letts to coordinate the Festival’s volunteer needs. Please read the job descriptions below to find an opportunity you’d be interested in. Once you’re ready to sign up, please send an email to volunteer coordinator, Hannah Jakob, at with your position interest and shift preference. Please understand that even though we accept special request, we can’t always honor all of them. Someone from our volunteer coordination team will contact you to confirm your assignment. Volunteer Position Descriptions

Saturday Shift Times:
AM (9:00 – 1:30); MID DAY (1:00 – 5:00); PM (4:30 – 8:30)

Sunday Shift Times:
AM (9:00 – 12:30); MID DAY (12:00 – 3:30); PM (3:00 – 6:30)

VIP Tent Host/Hostess

You are welcoming, mature and the one who always makes sure everyone is taken care of at the party. As the VIP Tent Host / Hostess you will be available to answer questions, make sure the VIP tent stays tidy and let MSF personnel know of any issues that arise.


Looking for friendly individuals!! Parking Attendants will control access to parking lots and direct vehicles to proper designated lots. This is a great job for organizations looking for community service time together. Must be 18 years. Be prepared to stand for periods at a time and bring sunscreen and a hat.

Miscellaneous Festival Positions

Not quite sure which position would best fit you and you are looking to get involved? Let us help you find your way. We are in need of various runners to help in a variety of positions such as stage hands, volunteer tent assistance, Chef Demo/Cooking Class Assistance and more. Must be 18 years. Be prepared to walk or stand for periods at a time.

Set-Up/Break Down

Coordinator and Committee leads will direct you on various jobs to help set-up/break down the Festival. Jobs may include table/chair set-up/break down, hang signs, assorted lifting and moving. Note: Set-up/Break Down will take place prior to (Thursday/Friday) and after (Monday) the Festival.
